Booking Terms & Conditions
Please read the following carefully. By signing these terms and conditions, you shall be acknowledging that all members of the party are in agreement. This contract is made under Schedule 4 Section 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 and thereby gives you the right to occupy the property for the period agreed for holiday purposes only. Scottish law applies to all contractual obligations arising from these booking conditions.
General
The accuracy of all information given is correct at time of booking. You will be notified of any changes which may affect your holiday immediately.
Liability
The owner is not liable for any damage, injury or loss of possessions that may occur whilst staying at the property.
Care
We ask that you please respect neighbours and our animals on the farm land during your stay and keep noise to a minimum.
Check In / Check out Times
Stones Throw Check In: 4.30pm onwards | Check Out: 10am
Blackbird Check In: 4.30pm onwards | Check Out: 10am
Bluebell Check In: 4.30pm onwards | Check Out: 10am
We will do our very best to allow guests early entry to the properties when able and Ann will make contact on arrival day by text if this is possible. We politely ask that properties are vacated by 10am sharp on departure day so as to allow adequate cleaning turn around time for the incoming guests.
Occupation
The number of people occupying Stone's Throw must not exceed 9.
The number of people occupying Clauchlands Bluebell must not exceed 4.
The number of people occupying Clauchlands Blackbird must not exceed 2.
The number of people occupying Clauchlands View must not exceed 6.
The property or any of its contents must not be sub-let.
The property and all its contents must be kept in and left in a clean and tidy condition (fair wear and tear expected). You will be liable to the owner for any costs, loss, or claims arising from any damage caused to the property and/or its contents by deliberate/negligent acts or omissions by you or any person in the party.
Guests renting Stones Throw will incur a good housekeeping deposit of £250 payable with the final deposit and returned within 14 days of the last day of the holiday.
Pets
Pets of any kind are not allowed on the property.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed on the property.
Services
Please inform the owner at the earliest opportunity if any equipment or services in the house fail such as wifi/electricity or water and we will do our best to contact utility companies to rectify asap.
Payment / Cancellation
An initial deposit of 25% of the booking total is required to secure the holiday date.
The deposit will be refunded according to the cancellation conditions.
Full booking balance must be paid 28 days before arrival.
If the booking is cancelled less than 28 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made.
If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
If the booking is cancelled 28 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to £50 per booking will be made.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.
If the booking is made within 28 days of the holiday date then charge equal to 100% of the booking amount will be due.
In the circumstance of a cancellation, all attempts will be made to re-book the property. If this is achieved for the same amount, then a full refund, minus £50 admin costs, will be returned.
We recommend that you take out appropriate holiday insurance to cover any eventualities should your holiday be cancelled.
In the event that we have to cancel your holiday (i.e should we need to make urgent repairs) then we will refund all monies paid by you to us for the booking. This will be our only liability or obligation to you.
We cannot be held liable should services in the house fail, such a water, electricity or internet. Please inform us immediately of any issues and we will do our very best to fix these issues.
Farm Safety- Clauchlands View, Clauchlands Blackbird and Bluebell
Please remember that Clauchlands is a working farm and as such tractors, tankers, haulage lorries, quad bikes and excavating/lifting machines move in and around the area. In order to enjoy your holiday here at Clauchlands as safely as possible, please adhere to the following:
Guests with children, please ensure that the gate to Clauchlands View is closed when you are in and out of the property thereby ensuring that the garden area is fully enclosed and safe for playing within.
Please close all shut gates on the farmland behind you.
Please do not allow young children to wander over to the farm buildings unsupervised as farm vehicles are frequently in these areas.
Please ensure that all guests thoroughly wash their hands after being in the countryside or after touching the farm animals.
